Selection Process


The selection process for the Indigo Cadet Training Program consists of four stages:

Online Application: You need to fill an online application form on the official website of Indigo and pay a non-refundable application fee of Rs. 25,000. You need to upload your documents, such as your educational certificates, medical certificate, passport, etc., along with your application form. Computer Based Test (CBT): The CBT is a multiple-choice test that assesses your aptitude, reasoning, numerical ability, and English proficiency. Training Program


The training program for the Indigo Cadet Training Program is divided into two phases:

Phase 1: Ground School and Flight Training: The phase 1 of the training program is conducted at one of the approved training organizations (ATO) in India or abroad. The phase 1 consists of ground school training and flight training on single-engine and multi-engine aircraft. The duration of phase 1 is approximately 18 months and covers around 200 hours of flying. Upon completion of phase 1, you will obtain a Commercial Pilot License (CPL) with Instrument Rating (IR) and Multi-Engine Rating (ME).

Phase 2: Type Rating Training: The phase 2 of the training program is conducted at one of the approved type rating training organizations (TRTO) in India or abroad. Phase 2 consists of ground school training and simulator training on Airbus A320 aircraft. The duration of phase 2 is approximately six months and covers around 36 hours of simulator flying. Upon completion of phase 2, you will obtain a Type Rating (TR) on Airbus A320 aircraft.

The total cost of the training program is approximately Rs. 85 lakhs, which includes tuition fees, accommodation fees, visa fees, uniform fees, etc. The cost of the training program is subject to change depending on the exchange rate, fuel price, etc. You need to pay the cost of the training program in installments as per the payment schedule provided by Indigo.
